Synopsis: To the world, Yi Lian Kai is a rich playboy who cares very little about his filial responsibilities, compared to his talented elder brothers who falls in love with the daughter of a military officer who has fallen out of favor. Qin Sang, on the other hand is his unwilling bride who he used every means possible to marry, despite the fact that she still harbors feelings for her crush who disappears without a word. In the beginning of this coerced marriage, she rejects all his advances and gestures of love, but they slowly develop a stable partnership through the chaos from the constant battles for land and power between the different warlords. Things get complicated when Qin Sang’s old lover returns under a new identity and becomes her husband’s subordinate. Adapted from the novel Siege in Fog by Fei Wo Si Cun.

Ep 9 & 10 recap: Yi Liankai overhears Qin Sang telling her father that she does not love him and still loves Li Wang Ping. Not knowing this, Qin Sang attempts to improve their relationship by cooking for him however, Yi Liankai still upset and jealous, does not cherish this chance. Meanwhile, the leader of the sky alliance orders Pan Jianchi/ Li Wang Ping to try and stir up a riot during Mr Fan’s funeral to try and shift Yi Lian Shen’s and hopefully the Yi family’s iron fist of power over Jiang Zhuo.  Additionally, the eldest disciple of Mr Fan visits the Yi Residence but is sent away by Yi Liankai. He rushes over to try and win favor from the Yi family’s greatest foe and threat, General Li Chongnian.

  1. This would be a lot more enjoyable if YY wasn’t crying and whining every 10 mins. She’s always trying to entice Lian Kai and backstab Qin Sang. What a homewrecker.

  4. Again, much appreciated! I’m too thrilled we are 1/5 of the way there.

    So much foreshadowing every time MHY and QS’s father advise her to focus on the present and the person in front of her…

    It’s expected that there will be power struggles within a military family but it’s disgusting that the father is using Lian Kai as a TOOL to threaten Lian Shen. This will only create bitterness and turn them against each other from misunderstandings.

  7. Yay! Two episodes in one post. Anyways, why is MHY the only straightforward woman? QS and YY are so complicated. YY: I’m obsessed with you since childhood and can’t let go even when I married your brother. QS: I don’t want to show I care or love you but you must be loyal to me. Smh

    That’s quite sad to make YLK a training tool and he knows it all along too :'(. No point in competing if Er Ge is already selected. What a crazy family!!!
