Synopsis: 1000 years ago, the God of war and the Star of Mosha fought against each other during a bitter battle that almost upturned the way of the world. However at the end of it, both had disappeared mysteriously. 1000 years later, their reincarnations are born into the mortal realm. Chu Xuanji was born into the world lacking the ability to understand or receiving information from the 6 senses leaving her clueless to the world and inept. She befriends Yu Sifeng, the most skilled disciple from the Lize palace who falls in love with her despite the consequences that would occur if he falls in love with a woman. Meanwhile, the demonic realm are preparing themselves to revive the star of Mosha in order to overthrow the Heavenly realm once more and soon the events of the past catches up to them….

Notes:

  1. Half a quarter: It is approximately 7 minutes and 12 seconds in today’s time. This arose due to the fact in the past the Chinese used a water clock or clepsydra to calculate the time. It took a whole day and night to empty which is 12 chinese (double) hours and because there were 100 indicator  quarter rod in this time piece, when one of these rods indicating a quarter of an hour (or half a double hour) were released as the pressure from the water flowing from tank to tank so a quarter is approximately 14 minutes 24 seconds. Later in the Qing dynasty, they used 96 rods and so a quarter adjusted to 15 minutes and that has been the standard ever since, this also matches up with the western quarter of an hour.
  2. Abandoned palace/ cold palace: Just a place where the consorts and their children that had either committed a crime, their family had committed a crime or had fallen out of the favor of the Emperor was sent to.
  3. Li energy /evil aura: This topic will come up time and time again throughout the drama and the reason why the God of war was cast to the mortal realm to undergo the 10 tribulations. It’s  a difficult concept to explain but you can think of it as the bad aura that is produced when there’s a lot of hatred and resentment within a person. And if you’re a cultivator or deity or powerful like Xuanji that aura becomes very overpowering
  4. Soulmate/confident: Not sure how close they are because it’s a very short clip but 知己 means someone who is like your kindred spirit/ other half of your soul/mind. Can be platonic or something more.

  2. I usually don’t care about male leads, as they’re usually bunch of stuck up jerks or way too entitled about everything(aka Dijun) but I’m kinda impressed with Sifeng so far, Xuanji is such a sweetheart+badass and I’m glad writer went with a male lead like Sifeng next to her.

    p.s. Though he may change drastically after learning he was jilted(killed, betrayed, abandoned etc.) at least 9 life times as we know now, I’d surely wash my hands from such a fate but hey, he is the male lead, hopefully he’ll be more patient than me. If he can handle this he’ll be earning a seat next to budha that’s for sure XD

    It was hard to watch Sifeng struggle through those love trials. I don’t completely blame Xuanji for it though. Her tribulations are for her to overcome her obsession with vengeance and I believe the fact she was reincarnated without her 6 senses this go round will work in her favor. She was able to retain her innocence and viewed life simply. I think she has a much better understanding and yearning for love since she went so long without understanding what it meant or how it felt. So I’m extremely optimistic about their future together…though it won’t be easy with Emperor Bailing meddling in Xuanji’s life. He manipulated her and sealed off her memories to make her into a living weapon…and while I do think he has good feelings towards her, I don’t think it’s love. It’s simply his obsession with wanting her under his control.

    1. If only Sifeng didn’t care for Xuanji his life would’ve been really smooth sailing but she is his tribulation which he has to overcome. Kinda sucks for him but I can’t blame Xuanji for it. It is what it is.
      And as for Dijun, ugh, he is way too entitled, at this point I wouldn’t feel any remorse nor pity even if he were to sacrifice himself. His hypocrisy makes me want to puke.

  15. Don’t be angry look at how many people come to support you everyday well we all support to bring your spirits up you have a lot support here

    I understand you want people to recognize the original person who subs the videos instead of people thanking the wrong person who’s taking all the credit.

    Thank you SOOOO much for subbing this series thus far. You do not know how much I have been eagerly waiting for the next episode to be subbed. I am sooo in love with Sifeng. Cheng Yi’s action is SPOT ON. Even his behind the scene is super cute. Throughout the series I have learned to love how Sifeng is able to express his shyness through those puppy eyes. Hahaha and those times where he is embarrassed/shy because women and men should keep a distance and Xuanji innocently touches him.

    Sifeng oh Sifeng. When did you start to love Xuanji so much? I reckon it started at episode 1 at the peach blossom tree where Xuanji accidentally hugs him because the whirlwind of cherry petals made her fall into his embrace.

    Where can I find a man like that **smiles dreamily**
