Synopsis: Song Yu Die (Zheng Shuang) is a renowned chef in Hangzhou city with a mysterious identity. She grew up learning how to cook from her adopted mother who is also a brilliant chef and the owner of the famous restaurant Tianxiang restaurant. Her sweetheart Li Ma (Ray Ma) is the adopted son of her mother and she knows that they will marry when they grow up. However things change when she encounters Prince Zhao Yuan Qing and Li Ma heads off to the battlefield to build a career for himself. Meanwhile beneath the prosperity, a threat lurks in the background and together with Li Ma, Zhao Yuan Qing she may have to make the ultimate sacrifice to save it…..

Notes:

1. Mistress Zhang: Her surname before marriage is Qiao and her late husband’s surname is Zhang I decided to go with Mistress Zhang
2. Jianghu: literal translation is mountains and rivers but in actual fact they are more like the martial world society and the group of people who operate outside of mainstream society
3. Celestial/deity & ancestors: they are phonetically the same
4. Zhi in stop and Zhi is finger: Both stop and finger are made up of 2 characters (the closest thing in english are english syllables but they each have their own meaning as well), but they both contain a character that is phonetically the same. There are a lot of play of words in this drama to try and lighten it up but hard to understand in english.
