Synopsis: Due to a mysterious reason, Qiao Nuo’s intelligent twin sister asks her to go and intern at her place at the city court at Jia Nan. As she struggles through the internship due to her lack of knowledge of the work it entails, she witnesses the intense confrontations between prosecutors and defense lawyers with her own eyes and starts to develop an appreciation for this profession. Whilst working to find clues to help the cases, accumulating work experience, and gaining the support of a good mentor, she finds true friends, love and the career she wishes to pursue and the qualities and skills she never realized she had.
End of case. Brought a few tears to my eyes, so prepare your tissues. Although it’s touching, it’s also my favorite case.
Notes:
- Rope to survival: A similar saying in english would probably be “A drowning man will catch at a straw”. It means that the situation is so dire that no matter what it is, they will grab hold of anything to try and survive.

Productive Procrastination 
I really didn’t like the end of this case. The rich bully only got 6 months in jail for hitting an old woman with an aluminum baseball bat and knocking her unconscious. And the father who hired thugs to beat up or threaten those who sued his son only ended up “regretting” how he spoiled his son and bullied his wife. I think he should have had to regret in a jail cell.

True the ending wasn’t satisfactory but I liked the twists and turns of it.
