Synopsis: Zheng Wei is known as the jade faced Fei Long, and true to her nickname she goes off to study at the same university as her childhood crush Lin Jing in her pursue of love. Unfortunately by the time she hears from him again, he’s already gone to study abroad. But after lamenting for a bit, Zheng Wei soon heals and makes friends with her roommates and finds a new crush, her senior Chen Xiao Zheng. Unfortunately shortly after they fall in love, he too leaves to study abroad.
Several years later, Lin Jing and Chen Xiao Zheng enters back into her life again. And after a series of challenges and life changing experiences, she learns to make better choices in life and in love.
Notes:
- Calling a deer a horse: A saying that means pointing to a deer and calling it a horse, it means twisting the truth to get the effect what you want. There is a story behind this saying as with a lot of sayings. Zhao Gao was plotting to seize power from the Qin Emperor and because he was afraid that the ministers will refuse to obey him hence he laid a trap for them. He ordered his men to bring in a deer to offer to the 2nd Emperor of the Qin dynasty but called it a horse. The Emperor laughed and asked, “Are you mistaken, Chancellor? Did you mistook a deer for a horse?” And the Emperor questioned those around him. However some remained silent, whilst others called it a horse too to show their loyalty to Zhao, whilst others said it was a deer. Zhao Gao secretly arranged for those who called it a deer to be executed and from then on all of the ministers feared Zhao Gao. Zhao Gao was also believed to have been instrumental in bringing the downfall of the Qin Dynasty.
